Fair Group hired 30 transgenders as staff

The new chairman of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) Abu Hena has called on everyone to come forward to assimilate the transgender community in the society. Rahmatul Munim. He said, 'Transgenders are abandoned by their families. Society boycotted. They are deprived of education and family. Give these people who are backward in the society an opportunity to live in the company and live in the society.'

The NBR Chairman said these things while addressing a meeting titled 'Social Inclusion of Transgender Community' at Tejgaon in the capital on Saturday. Fair Group recently employed 30 transgenders.

NBR chairman said, 'It is said that productivity decreases if hijras and transgenders are employed. But Fair Group has proven that to be incorrect. Overcoming all hurdles, they have given jobs to 30 Hijras and Transgenders. I thank them. We had announced in the last budget that hiring Hijras and Transgenders would be tax exempt. The government wants Hijra and transgender people to have a place in the society.'
