গত ২৫ শে সেপ্টেম্বর২০২২ খ্রীষ্টাব্দ তারিখে অনলাইন সংবাদ মাধ্যম আজকের পত্রিকার প্রকাশিত খবর আনুযায়ী জানা যায় যে, সিলেটে এক যৌন সংখ্যালঘু সমকামী ট্রান্সজেন্ডার ব্যক্তিকে বাড়ী থেকে ডেকে নিয়ে হত্যা করা হয়েছে।

Human rights organization Bangladesh Institute of Human Rights (BIHR) and JusticeMakers Bangladesh have expressed extreme concern and protest over the harassment of four young lesbian girls for declaration of marriage with same-sex in Sarishabari under Jamalpur district.

 

BIHR and Justicemakers Bangladesh believe that the harassment of four homosexual youth girls on charge of marry with same-sex is a clear violation of the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights.

 

The news published on September 21, 2022 in various newspapers including the online version of Ekatar TV, Daily Jugantar and BanglaNews24.com sated that a girl married another girl in Hatbari village of Doyle Union in Sarishabari, Jamalpur. Local peoples have handed over two young girls and their two accomplices to the police on charges of same-sex marriage.

একাত্তর টিভি, দৈনিক যুগান্তর ও বাংলানিউজ২৪.কম এর অনলাইন ভার্সনসহ বিভিন্ন পত্রিকায় গতকাল ২১ সেপ্টেম্বর ২০২২ তারিখে প্রকাশিত সংবাদে জানা যায় যে, জামালপুরের সরিষাবাড়ীর ডোয়াইল ইউনিয়নের হাটবাড়ী গ্রামে এক বান্ধবী বিয়ে করেছেন আরেক বান্ধবীকে। উক্ত ঘটনায় সমকামী বিয়ের অভিযোগে দুই তরুণী ও তাদের দু’সহযোগীকে পুলিশে সোপর্দ করেছে স্থানীয়রা।

Shahanur told to Soja Kotha that recently on 25th August and 6th September 2022, he received separate two death threats messages along with his wife and kid over his mobile phone.

BIHR and JusticeMakers of Bangladesh strongly demanded that the accused persons involved in endangering the personal safety and security of the sexual minority lesbian teenagers in Sadar Upazila of Lakshipur district by exposing their love and marriage incidents should be quickly identified, arrested, and impartially investigated, and the perpetrators should be given exemplary punishment at the end of a speedy and transparent trial process. .

According to the news published on 16 September 2022 in the online newspaper Rising BD.com, it is known that there has been a commotion over the ' homosexual love ' of two girls in Lakshmipur. Shahanur Islam, a prominent human rights lawyer and gay rights campaigner in Bangladesh received repeated death threats SMS over his mobile phone.

Recently on 25th August and 6th September 2022, he received separate two death threats messages along with his wife and kid over his mobile phone. 

On 25th October 2022 around at 10:17 pm BST, Mr. Islam received threats message in English language over his phone from an unidentified number. The message states that if you don’t stop fighting aims to establishment of homo sexual rights in BD, immediately you will be killed along with your family members brutally.

Human rights organizations BIHR and JusticeMakers Bangladesh have expressed extreme concern and protest over the order not to take classes to a homosexual teacher of Savar Model College.

BIHR and JusticeMakers Bangladesh believe that because of being a teacher of  homosexual nature, refrain him from taking classes is a clear violation of the Constitution of the People's Republic of Bangladesh and the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights, due to students protest patronized by the homophobic people.

On 28 and 29 August 2022, the news published in various electronic and print media revealed that the Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) has ordered Ramzan Ali, a homosexual teacher, to refrain from taking classes due to continued students' agitation in Savar Model College.

On Monday (August 29) noon, UNO rushed to the college after receiving the news of Savar Model College students' agitation for the 2nd consecutive day. After a long discussion with the protesting students, he announced this decision.

গতকাল ৩০ মে ২০২২ খ্রীষ্টাব্দ সকাল নারায়নগঞ্জ ডট কমে প্রকাশিত খবর আনুযায়ী জানা যায় যে, নারায়ণগঞ্জের বন্দরে টাকা কালেকশন নিয়ে হিজড়া সুমি ও সোহানা নামে দুইজনকে পিটিয়ে উর্মী নামে এক হিজড়াকে ২০নং ওয়ার্ড কাউন্সিলর শাহেনশাহ নির্দেশে তুলে নিয়ে যাওয়ার অভিযোগ উঠেছে। সোমবার ৩০মে সকালে বন্দর আমিন আবাসিক এলাকায় এ ঘটনা ঘটে।
