URGENT APPEAL: Paris Bar Association is Strongly Concerned regarding Threats against Bangladeshi Human Rights Lawyer Shahanur Islam

Dear Prime Minister,

The Paris Bar representing more than 24000 members would like to share its strong concern in relation to death threats recieved by thieir colleaguge Shahanur Islam these last month. Shahanur Islam is the executive director of Bangladesh Institute of Human Rights (BIHR), Country observer-Bangladesh for Global Human Rights Defence (GHRD), Founder Secretary General of JusticeMakers Bangladesh and also member of Dhaka Bar association and Bangladesh Bar council. Mr. Islam has accomplished extensive human rights work.
